The 30-year-old “Unholy” pop star is unleashing her frequently teased new release “Alone” on April 21, and it seemingly samples the 1999 club hit “Better Off Alone.” While announcing the release on social media, Kim revealed who would be joining her on the song. In a clip teasing the release, the hitmaker picks up a pink phone and holds it to her ear as Nicki makes her debut. “It’s Barbie, and it’s Kim Petras,” Nicki raps before Kim unleashes her signature “Woo-Ah.” “Alone” follows “Unholy” – Kim‘s Grammy winning collaboration with Sam Smith.
After picking up the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, she became the first trans woman in history to win in the category.
The duo incited conservative outrage with their performances at various awards shows in recent months, including at the 2023 Grammys.
