Kerry Katona: 'I want to be taken seriously as an actress - I'd love to be in a comedy'

But now, the mother-of-five has dreams of becoming an actress.Taking to her weekly column, Kerry, 43, shared her hopes of starring in a scripted comedy.
She explained: "I want to focus on acting this year and be taken a bit more seriously in that department. I’d love to star in a comedy, so we’ll see." Showing that she is taking steps to make it happen, Kerry mentioned that she was spending some time in London with her daughters Heidi, 17, and DJ, nine, who are also looking to get into showbusiness. "I headed to London at the weekend for work and I brought Heidi and DJ along for the ride.
I had an event on Saturday, where there were casting directors and people like that, so it was good to take the girls because Heidi and DJ are both really interested in acting.They’ve grown up around showbiz and it’s good to get their foot in the door."
