Calum Gallagher says Airdrie were disappointed not to take three points from Kelty Hearts, but reckons 1-1 was a fair result from their League One tussle.Gallagher says the game was played in horrendous conditions on Saturday, but Adam Frizzell put the Diamonds ahead in 21 minutes, collecting Gabby McGill’s cross before slamming the ball past Darren Jamieson.Both sides had chances, but Jamie Barjonas hit the bar, before knocking in a Joe Cardle cross to level in 66 minutes.The result knocked Airdrie down a place to fifth, but still just outside the playoff slots, and two points behind Alloa, who they host in a fortnight.Gallagher, 28, said: “We’re a bit disappointed not to get three points, but that’s possibly not a reflection on the game itself and more to do with the standings in the table.“The game was quite even if I’m being totally honest.“Kelty did really well and both teams did their best to manage the conditions, but it was a horrible day for football.“I think the 1-1 was probably a fair result, in the end.“Kelty have come up and kept most of their core squad from last year, and they fairly ran through League Two, so they’ve got a lot of quality, but we certainly played well any time we’ve played them.”Having a free weekend might work in Airdrie’s favour, with Gallagher reckoning it gives them more time to prepare for the visit of Brian Rice’s side on January 28.Gallagher said: “It’s annoying to have no game but it’s maybe come at a good time.“Cammy Ballantyne is still injured, so it’s a game less for him to miss, which is always good.“I think at this stage of the season you’re looking at not losing games and you want to be on the pitch as often as you can.“We want to get as far up the table as we can, and at
