Stacey Solomon shares the part of washing machine where 'items go missing'

Stacey Solomon and her team of cleaning experts have revealed a hidden part of the washing machine which might be responsible for missing items.In an episode of the TV-star-turned-cleaning-ace's BBC series Sort Your Life Out, viewers were treated to a helpful washing machine trick.

As reported by the Mirror, Stacey and her team sought to help a family with a spiralling clutter build-up.As well as piles of clutter, there was a huge load of washing that had been mounting up too, so Stacey and her team got to work to get things organised.In a home mounted with clutter, items go missing fairly easily.

To explain where some of these items went, cleaning expert Iwan Carrington shared some useful guidance. The Sort Your Life Out star showed off just how many little items can disappear into the family's washing machine filter.The small compartment, which is advised to be cleaned at least four times a year, can often be forgotten about.

However, without even realising, it could be sucking in the loose change that you could have sworn you left in your trouser pockets.Iwan explained: "When we unscrew [the filter] liquid will often come out, so pop a little towel down."He went on: "People often say that things go missing - well this can be somewhere where you find stuff in your home.
