Kate Middleton Shares 'Apologies' for Missing Pre-Trooping the Colour Event Amid Cancer Treatments

On Saturday (June 8), the 42-year-old Princess of Wales shared her “apologies” for missing the rehearsals for Trooping the Colour, which is King Charles‘ birthday parade, as she continues to stay out of the spotlight as she battles cancer. Keep reading to find out more…“I wanted to write and let you know how proud I am of the Regiment ahead of Colonel’s Review and Trooping the Colour,” Kate wrote in a letter, which the Irish Guards shared on X. “I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months, and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drills are immaculate,” Kate continued. “Being your Colonel remains a great honour, and I am very sorry that I’m unable to take the salute at this year’s Colonel review.” Kate concluded, “Please pass my apologies to the while Regiment, however I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon.
Please send my very best wishes and good to all involved.” Along with sharing the letter Kate wrote, the Irish Guards tweeted, “The Irish Guards were deeply touched to receive a letter from our Colonel, Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Wales this morning.
We continue to wish Her Royal Highness well in her recovery and send Her our very best wishes.” The Palace confirmed last week that Kate would not be attending this year’s Trooping the Colour parade.
