As reported by The Sun, it’s believed they feared the businessman, who is the brother of Kate’s mum Carole Middleton, was "too much of a risk".
A source said: “Gary was well up for a stint in the Aussie jungle and taking part in the Bushtucker trials but it doesn’t seem to be happening anymore. “Obviously, he could be a ratings winner but maybe it’s just too much of a risk.” OK!

Gary has hit headlines in the past after previously being fined £5,000 and sentenced to a 12-month community service order for assaulting his wife.The millionaire, who got his £30 million fortune through an IT recruitment business, later admitted that he had attacked his wife, Julie-Ann in 2017 in a drunken row and knocked her to the floor.
