perezhilton.comNothing brings family together like a health scare. Late last year, Derek Hough’s wife Hayley Erbert underwent a cranial surgery to treat a “life-threatening” hematoma.
Thankfully she survived and has been on the mend ever since. They announced in a joint Instagram post back in December: See the full thing (below): But there’s been a silver lining to this dark cloud.
Because of the health scare, Derek and sister Julianne have been reunited! Related: The Move Harry & Meghan Can Make Right Now To Outshine Royal Family, Per Expert! As we’ve been following, Derek made the bold decision to include Julianne’s ex-husband Brooks Laich in his wedding party last year… Which is especially awkward considering how things between the former spouses ended.
There was definitely some beefing going on behind closed doors. But Julianne and Derek now have a completely “clean slate.” During an interview with People on Tuesday ahead of the release of her book Everything We Never Knew, Julianne spoke about her and her big brother coming together amid his wife’s health issues: So true.
