William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Oasis have announced a further two more dates for their 2025 reunion tour following 'unprecedented demand' for tickets.General sale for the UK and Ireland tour went live last weekend on Saturday (August 31) with more than 10m fans trying to snag tickets for one of the 17 dates that were released, which includes three nights at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium next August. However, due to the overwhelming capacity of people on their sites, ticket platforms struggled to cope with the hysteria, leading their websites to 'crash' after hours of waiting in long queues, only for furious fans to discover the prices had doubled when they finally got in.

Oasis have acknowledged the 'immense frustration' and 'disappointment' fans are feeling and have now announced two more shows at Wembley next year, M.E.N reports.

Feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who have not reunited on stage for over 15 years, have promised to 'make amends' for the situation by changing the way tickets will be sold.A 'special invitation only ballot' will open for the extra dates with fans who missed out on tickets first in line.Oasis released a statement which says: "Inevitably interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it’s impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand.

But this ticket sale strategy will make the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the hottest tickets of our time."The band explained that applications to enter the ballot will be opened first to fans who were not successful in the initial sale with Ticketmaster.
