Julia Bradbury has bravely shown off the scar from her mastectomy 16 months after she underwent the surgery. The Countryfile presenter opted to have the operation after she was given the diagnosis she had breast cancer in 2021.

Highlighting the area with arrows, Julia also wrote "healing" underneath. "Isn't it amazing how the body heals? #breastcancer 16 months on," she captioned the post. The brave TV star then shared an incredibly powerful and poignant poem for her followers, which was titled Owning Our Scars and written by poet Teryn O'Brien.
It read: "We walk into the world unblemished, but we soon find that the world lashes out.
