After seven years away from our screens, Deal Or No Deal has made its return to the TV with a brand new look. Hosted by Stephen Mulhern, and now on ITV, the popular game show made its debut on our screens on Monday 20 November, though viewers were left complaining after one feature from the original show failed to make an appearance.
In years gone by, contestants on Deal Or No Deal had the chance to win a whopping £250,000 prize pot, though the latest reboot failed to bring back this original feature.
Instead, contestants could only win a maximum jackpot of £100,000. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their shock, one social media user wrote: “Just turned the TV on and #DealOrNoDeal is on… where the hell is the £250,000 box may I ask?
It’s a no deal from me." A second added: “Bit strange how 18 years ago when #DealOrNoDeal started they could afford to give away £250,000 but now the top prize is £100,000.
