Coronation Street's Alan Halsall has offered fans a glimpse into his less-than-glamorous journey to recovery following surgery.The actor, known for his role as Tyrone Dobbs on the popular ITV soap, underwent an operation at the end of last year to repair an ACL injurya crucial ligament in the knee that connects the thighbone to the shinbone and is key to knee stability.Alan took to Instagram to share updates with his followers, including a thumbs-up photo from his hospital bed.

Back in November, just before his surgery, he posted: "ACL Reconstruction surgery [tick emoji]. Well, On Friday I underwent ACL reconstruction surgery.

I have been told the surgery went really well. I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I'm sure with the support of family and friends I'll get there."Now, several months into his rehabilitation, Alan is back at it, as evidenced by a recent snapshot of a clinic sign he uploaded with the caption: "Back at it today! !
