Former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has initially been earmarked as a target to be brought in as an assistant to the United boss but he is currently weighing up taking that position with the Burnley managerial role. United are thought to be confident that the 52-year-old will be heading to the UK this summer with Ten Hag's contract almost secured.
