A nursery worker who fell ill whilst on holiday faces spending months in a Spanish hospital after being rushed in for emergency brain surgery.
Millie Jackson, 20, was enjoying a break in Malaga with her boyfriend when she became unwell. She is currently in intensive care and has been told she will have to remain there for the foreseeable future whilst she recovers.
Millie, from South Wales lives with a rare genetic condition called von Hippel-Lindau disease which causes benign cysts and tumours to grow in parts of the body.
The condition runs in her family with Millie's mum and uncle also living with the condition. Millie was tested for and diagnosed with the condition at the age of six and as a result has routine MRIs and doctors appointments back home in the Rhonda Valley.
