'I tested Greater Manchester's Bee Network from town to the edge - and arrived over two hours later'

On September 24, the bus network came back under public control for the first time in decades. The initial launch has seen Bolton, Wigan and parts of Salford benefit from the first phase of the project.

He told those in attendance that the number of bus passengers in Wigan and Manchester has increased by eight per cent following the launch.
