The Spanish Football Association made the decision to rescind Mason Greenwood's recent red card for Getafe after hearing evidence from referee Jorge Figueroa.

The Manchester United loanee was dismissed during Getafe's 2-0 home defeat to Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday evening. He was one of three Getafe players sent-off, meaning the Spanish outfit finished the game with just eight men on the field.

All three players were dismissed as a result of separate incidents. Greenwood, who joined the club on loan in September, was given his marching orders just five minutes into the second half, at which point Getafe were already 2-0 down and down to 10 men. Figueroa dismissed him after he believed Greenwood had told him not to 'f*** with me'. However, the Spanish FA, upon review, determined that Greenwood had not said that, resulting in them overturning his ban.
