Cancelo left City last January after falling out with Pep Guardiola over his place in the team. Cancelo had fallen out of favour at right-back, with teenager Rico Lewis preferred over the Christmas 2022 period.
Cancelo left on loan for Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga, and was then loaned out to Barcelona in the summer. Now, Cancelo says that he is 'where he always wanted to be' at Barcelona, and wants to stay for three more years - he has three years left on his City contract.
