A huge multi-storey car park has been built at the North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH). This comes after it was announced earlier this year that a huge transformation project on the Crumpsall hospital is set to begin in 2025, with a completion date of 2030.
The government has previously said it is ‘ready to go’ and promises to completely transform the site. The multi-million pound plans put forth by the hospital trust so far spell a complete overhaul of the Crumpsall area – including a new acute hospital, a new mental health inpatient unit, a wellbeing hub, an education hub, a new residential community, housing, commercial space and a village green.
