Lanarkshire firefighters attacked by yobs while responding to 999 calls on Bonfire Night

One of nine despicable attacks on Scots firefighters during an eight-hour period on Bonfire Night happened in Lanarkshire.Crews were bombarded with fireworks and bricks after being mobilised to tackle a series of outdoor fires.The attacks happened in Blantyre in South Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Blackburn in West Lothian.There were no injuries reported to the crews involved however a fire appliance in West Lothian had a windscreen smashed by a brick and had to be removed from operational service.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
