Tyson Fury will face the test of former UFC heavyweight world champion Francis Ngannou next month, with the big-name fight having already raised eyebrows.
Fury has placed his reputation on the line by risking his unbeaten professional record against a UFC fighter, with the fight being a full 12-round professional bout rather than an exhibition.
However, his WBC world title will not be on the line with Ngannou not having the required ranking to class the fight as a world championship bout despite being fully licensed.
The Daily Star have reported that Fury could be ordered to fight early next year in defence of his title, with the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder his potential next encounter.
