Kerry Katona has waded into the commentary around Phillip Schofield's return to TV as she slammed it as "tone-deaf". The 62-year-old former broadcaster hasn't been seen on the small screen since he dramatically quit his long-running role on This Morning in May 2023.
He left the daytime show and ITV as a whole after admitting to lying about an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger male colleague.
But as he gears up to return to screens with his new reality documentary Cast Away, which begins on Channel 5 on Monday night (September 30), former Atomic Kitten star Kerry has blasted the whole thing as a "really self-indulgent move" even though she still intends to tune in. Magazine column, she said: "Phillip Schofield is back on screen this week with his Channel 5 show 'Cast Away' and I was quite surprised at his return to television.
