Three areas of Greater Manchester have been featured in The Sunday Times' Best Places to Live - with one being the trendy Ancoats neighbourhood.
The annual guide looks at all areas across the UK, with the judges visiting each place to assess factors from schools and transport to culture, green spaces and the health of the high street.
Having been transformed in recent years from a textile district, Ancoats was chosen by The Sunday Times' expert panel for the first time as an alternative to Altrincham, which has been named on the list for the last six years but missed its soot this year.
Thanks to its eclectic food and drink scene and variety of new build homes, converted mill apartments and its Instagram famous Anita Street, The Times says that the Manchester suburb 'sets the benchmark for hip urban living'.
