Intrepid Ayrshire care workers will put their best feet forward at the annual Kiltwalk

Three Ayrshire care workers are pulling on their walking boots to take on the annual Kiltwalk in a bid to raise funds for the youth support service where they work.The trio - Kim Muir, Mark Turner and Leoni Stuart - all work for the Quarriers Ayrshire Youth Support Service and they hope to raise around £200 each.Depute Project Manager Kim and Transition Mentors Mark and Leoni, have started their training for the April walk which is 23-miles long and will take them from Glasgow Green to the shores of Loch Lomond.“Kim is a hill walker,” says Leoni, “I used to walk more, but Mark and I have just started to get back into training to get a little fitter.“We’ve been swapping the car for walking as much as we can, and we’ve been running along the beach to get into shape.”The team hope to raise as much funds as they can for the project they work for.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page with the sections that matter to you.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now on iOS and Android.The Quarriers Ayrshire Youth Support Service provides housing support for 16-25-year-olds who are homeless, are leaving care, or who are at risk of becoming homeless.The service has seven residential flats and a shared house.It also provides an Outreach Service in both South and East Ayrshire which supports more than 130 young people, helping them gain the skills, confidence and knowledge to enable them to move on to appropriate accommodation and establish themselves as active members in
