A hero Glasgow man has told of the moment he ran back into a burning building to save his neighbour.Chris Logan, 38, raced into the tenement on Bathgate Street in Dennistoun when he saw a woman in the window above his flat, where the fire had taken hold.
Chris managed to burst through the woman's door and guide her downstairs before he was taken to hospital to be treated for severe smoke inhalation.The fire took hold at around 1.35pm on Monday.
Just minutes before, Chris was catching up with a friend across the road from his home when his pal noticed 'brown smoke billowing' from his flat.He quickly rushed down the stairs of the tenement and towards his close where he was met with a wall of smoke.
Despite his best efforts to save his beloved cat Oreo and his brother's ashes, they were both sadly lost in the inferno.Chris told Glasgow Live: "As I was running up I was kicking and banging doors to alert everyone.
