Hero catches child thrown from window during flat fire in Glasgow

A Glasgow hero has spoken of the surreal moment he caught a child thrown from a window during a flat fire.Ryan McGeachie, 30, was making his was home when he heard the screams of a woman coming from a home on Harley Street in Ibrox at around 4.15pm on Friday.

The fishmonger says the woman was shouting 'fire' and dangling a child out of the window before he sprinted over to help. Ryan didn't panic and relied purely on instinct before catching the little girl and taking her to safety.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, he explained: "I was walking back from the Co-Op which is just round the corner from me."There was a woman screaming out the window.

I didn't understand what was happening at first."She grabbed a child and put her out the window and then started shouting fire.
