Greg James 'missing' from Radio 1 breakfast show as he announces sad family death

The 38 year old took to social media to address his absence after Matt Edmondson stepped in for him.Taking to his Instagram Stories, Greg penned: "A pretty rotten week.
Got rid of Covid then yesterday my lovely 100 year old Nan died so have spent a nice quiet day today with family." Greg went on to reveal he'll be back on Radio 1 on Wednesday.
He added: "Excited to be back on the radio tomorrow and very much in need of some fun. With you at 7am." Greg then tried to make light of the situation as shared a video of himself praising Andrew Scott's BAFTA red carpet look.The star quipped: "Grief takes many forms.
