It's set to be a wet but somewhat mild week across Greater Manchester as we head towards Christmas. While there's a slim chance of snow falling in our area next week, it's the most northern parts of the UK that are more likely to get a dusting.

The Met Office explained how high pressure could move 'further south and west away from the UK' next week which would allow northwesterly winds to develop at times.

Colder air could then affect the UK for short periods, bringing the potential for wintry showers in northern areas. The Met Office added: "At this stage there is very little sign of any widespread or severe cold and wintry weather."
