Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s Melle Mel – real name Melvin Glover – has been arrested and charged with Felony Domestic Violence in the US this week.According to Rolling Stone, the artist, who performed at this year’s Grammys, was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday (June 26).

He was charged with felony domestic violence and released after posting a $50,000 (£39,000) bond. The alleged victim has since detailed the accusations on a social media post seen by Rolling Stone, claiming she was hit in the eye by Glover.

He has since responded to the allegations via Rolling Stone.“It’s very simple,” Glover told the publication. “She said I punched her in the eye.

She also said she had eye surgery a month ago. Had I punched her in the eye, especially with rings on, she would have had a cut eye.“It would have been way worse.
