And I couldn’t do it,” Plaza continued.“I was confused about right and left. And I think that’s when everyone realized, ‘Oh, she had a stroke.”Plaza went to a stroke unit and was later transferred to the hospital to allow her brain to ‘heal itself’.
She also underwent cognitive therapy.“I think I was lucky. I was so young that my brain healed itself really fast,” she said. “So I was talking after a couple of days.
