Smash Mouth's former frontman Steve Harwell has passed away at age 56, according to the band's manager. The singer reportedly died "peacefully and comfortably" on Monday (September 4) at his home in Boise, Idaho, while surrounded by friends and family, Robert Hayes confirmed.
Harwell became well-known with the US rock band who shot to fame with their hits including All Star and their cover of I'm a Believer.
In a statement, Hayes said: “Steve Harwell was a true American original. A larger-than-life character who shot up into the sky like a Roman candle.
Steve should be remembered for his unwavering focus and impassioned determination to reach the heights of pop stardom.
