Forensics scour for evidence as family estate 'in shock' after horror knife attack

Forensics scoured a scene for evidence after a man was seriously injured in a 'stabbing' in Collyhurst on Monday afternoon (October 28).

A huge police scene was put in place near Thornton Street North following the knife attack. Emergency services, including police, paramedics and an air ambulance, were scrambled to the scene at around 2.10pm.

The area was taped off near to the junction with Kelly Street and Lashbrook Close. The victim, a man, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries from the scene.
