Sports pundit Laura Woods is at the helm of ITV's Women’s World Cup coverage this season and has years of live presenting under her belt - however, the 36-year-old admits that she's dealt with "hundreds" of embarrassing moments throughout her career. "Things like dropping coffee on people by accident when I was younger, walking into studios and making too much noise," she tells OK!
She added that during her very first live broadcast, a mishap with her earpiece meant that she couldn't hear the producers telling her that she was on-air. "There was one I remember we went on air it was, it was probably my first live.
My earpiece or something dropped out so I couldn't hear when they'd come to me live," she said. "So I was waiting for [the production crew] to throw to me.
And I went, 'I can't hear them.' Like I can't hear him and I was live already. And those are the kind of moments that give you absolute nightmares." Laura revealed that there was one particular instance where a technical difficulty with microphones meant that she had to share her headpiece with former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo. "Nuno Espirito Santo came up for an interview when I was in the stands at Old Trafford.
