BBC Radio 2 have confirmed Zoe Ball's future presenting her breakfast show amid her unexpected absence. The 53-year-old radio host normally keeps the nation company each morning from 6.30am.

However, for the last five weeks she has been absent from her presenting role, with the likes of Scott Mills and Gaby Roslin stepping in to fill her shoes.

Zoe was last on her breakfast show on August 8. She had returned just four days earlier from a previous lengthy absence. Speaking on August 12, Scott addressed Zoe's absence as he told listeners: "If you've just put us on this morning, it's Scott Mills in for Zoe for the next few weeks.

I'm sending you all my love Zo' as are the team." READ MORE: Molly-Mae Hague seen in wedding dress as she admits 'weird' move in Tommy Fury split update Following speculation from fans that Zoe might not return at all, the BBC have confirmed the host's future on the show.
