A series of workshops aimed at educating young people about kinky and afro hair have been launched in Manchester. Europe's leading subscription service for naturally kinky curly hair, Treasure Tress, has teamed up with a Manchester-based salon to run the event aimed at dispelling myths about the hair type.

HairSoSassy is based on Viaduct Street, off Blackfriars Road in Salford. The initiative comes after a recent report by shampoo company Pantene revealed 93% of black people in the UK say they have faced microaggressions related to their hair.
