After confirming she’s signed up to join the latest Celebs Go Dating line-up, friends of actress Helen Flanagan are reportedly “worried” it’s the wrong move at the wrong time.The former Coronation Street star said last week she was “very excited to be joining the agency this summer” after opening up about her traumatic mental health battle earlier this year which caused her to experience a terrifying psychotic episode and take two months off her social media while she recovered.The 33 year old revealed her slide into psychosis was partly caused by a reaction to prescribed ADHD medication but also by unresolved heartbreak over the split from her footballer ex Scott Sinclair, who is the dad of her three children.

Our source said Helen’s pals are concerned that the high-profile dating show isn’t the right move for her so soon after her recovery. “Helen’s friends are worried about her doing a show like Celebs Go Dating because they think she’s still in a vulnerable situation,” a source told new. “She’s done so much work on herself this year after a really awful time, but it might be too soon for her to go on a show like that and face rejection from other people, which is just part of the format. “She always wears her heart on her sleeve, so her friends don’t think it’s a good idea for her to do this sort of reality show right now.” Alumni of the hit E4 show includes telly favourites such as Pete Wicks, Love Island ’s Olivia Attwood, and model Lottie Moss, and involves dating gurus Paul Brunson and Anna Williamson pairing up the celebs with members of the public.

Helen is reportedly set to appear alongside former Love Islander Chris Taylor, Married at First Sight bride Ella Morgan, Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb and Made.
