Helen Flanagan's 'mum guilt' over son Charlie as she opens up on split from Scott

Helen Flanagan has candidly opened up on overwhelming 'mum guilt' as she reflected on life as a single mum, since splitting with ex-partner Scott Sinclair.The former couple, who share three kids, Matilda, Delilah and Charlie, had been together for 13 years.

Helen described their split as a 'divorce' from the former Celtic star at the time, and continued to wear her engagement ring.Helen has recently returned to social media following a break for her mental health.

In her latest post, she reflected on life with her three children and being a single parent, admitting she felt she had been a 'horrible mummy' at times.The ex-Corrie star also expressed that she felt there was a lot of times she wasn't there for youngest son Charlie, who was only one when their parents split.

Helen's thoughts ran away with her, as her kids are soaking up the sun in Dubai with dad Scott.She wrote in the post to her one million Instagram followers: "Not seen my babies for 11 days as they were in Dubai with their daddy x I feel such a horrible mummy for not seeing them and guilty but I think it’s important for them to have a nice time with their daddy, I suppose mum guilt never goes no matter what you do x "They went on holiday with their lovely nanna too which helps me as I get lots of pictures of them looking really happy x Feeling in such a better place then I did this time last year and I think it’s just time, it’s a massive healer and I look back at myself this time last year and I can give myself kindness and compassion for maybe looking for love in the wrong places and numbing how I felt x."
