Family of Scots dad 'devastated at senseless loss' as 15-year-old charged with murder

The family of a dad who died following an alleged disturbance in the Highlands have said they have been left “devastated” by his “senseless loss”.Scott Mitchell was tragically pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to Milnfua, Alness, in the early hours of Saturday morning.A 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the dad-of-two’s death and has since appeared in court charged with murder.

He made no plea and has been released on bail.Police Scotland formally identified Mr Mitchell, 48, on Tuesday and released a moving statement from his loved ones.It read: “Scott was a family man, father of two, son, uncle and great uncle to his family and loved by all that knew him.
