Three-year-old 'struggled' with speech because she and her mum had no home

The trauma of being in temporary housing left its mark on Lilly-Rose. The eight months in which the child and her mum, Sophie Paul, had no home of her own affected her development.

She struggled with her speech, and became withdrawn around new faces. It's a stark illustration of the impact of homelessness on children here in Greater Manchester, where thousands of families are in temporary accommodation.

But Lilly-Rose and Sophie are among the lucky ones. They finally have a new home in an affordable housing scheme at Morris Street, Radcliffe, and it's 'changed everything'.
