Emmerdale fans react as 'Ross Barton' returns to screens in crime drama series

Actor Mike Parr was last seen on the ITV soap back in 2018 before his sad exit from the show.Many viewers were left upset at his departure from the show, when he left the Dales behind with Rebecca White and her son Seb to move to Liverpool following a tough few years for his character including a horrific acid attack.Ross's ex Debbie Dingle, arranged for her ex Joe Tate to be "taught a lesson" but got the wrong man.
Meanwhile, Rebecca was involved in a tragic car crash which killed her sister Chrissie and their father Lawrence and left her with brain damage.But in exciting news, the actor will return to screens as part of the cast for ITV's The Long Shadow, which airs on Monday, September 25.He wrote on Instagram announcing the news: "My giant head and nose with the wonderful @katherinekel in The Long Shadow on @itv Starts the 25th of September.
Directed by @lewisaea."Starring alongside Mike is former Corrie star Katherine Kelly, known for her role as Becky McDonald in the soap until 2012.
