Matt, 37, who hails from London, made his first television appearance in 2000 and has gone on to appear in numerous shows, but he remains best-known for playing Dean in EastEnders.
His character is currently imprisoned in the soap after a brief return. When beginning his acting career, the soap star opted to adopt Matt Di Angelo as his professional name.
However, his real name is largely different to the moniker he goes by. Matt's full name is Mario Angelo S Constantinou. His parents, Josephine Constantinou and Stavros Constantinou, are of Irish and Greek descent respectively.
