Barry Avrich Prepping Doc On Retired Israeli General Noam Tibon’s Heroic Rescue Of Family Amid October 7 Terrorist Attack On Israel
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Filmmaker Barry Avrich (Prosecuting Evil) has begun production on To the Last Breath, a documentary telling a true story of heroism amid the October 7 terror attack on Israel.
The film’s subject is Noam Tibon, a grandfather and retired Israeli general who rescued his family from Hamas terrorists who had invaded their home during the October 7, 2023 massacre — a coordinated assault on Israel from land, sea, and air, triggering a mass conflict that is ongoing.
Avrich is directing and producing for his Melbar Entertainment Group, with Mark Selby also serving as producer. The project will complement October 7th, a scripted feature on Tibon’s story from Fauda creators Avi Issacharoff & Lior Raz and Leviathan Productions, on which we were first to report. “Noam Tibon’s act of courage, heroism and selflessness shook me to the core and we want to share his story with the world.
