E! News presenter Maria Menounos has bravely opened up on her terrifying ordeal as she explained she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer while expecting her first baby.
The American TV star, who is well known for covering star-studded award ceremony red carpets and rubbing shoulders with the biggest A-listers, was told she had stage two cancer.
As a result, 44 year old Maria underwent a surgery to have a 3.9cm tumour removed in secret in January of this year. The TV host was also advised to have part of her pancreas, her spleen, and a fibroid removed, as well as 17 lymph nodes in total.
After completing her recovery, the star, who is expecting her first baby with husband Keven Undergaro via a surrogate, decided to share her heartbreaking situation with fans, as she was finally told the surgery had been a "success".
