'DWTS' Pro Emma Slater Says She is Freezing Her Eggs After Sasha Farber Divorce

The 34-year-old dancer, choreographer, and Dancing with the Stars pro opened up about her decision to freeze her eggs in the wake of her divorce with fellow DWTS pro Sasha Farber. “For me, it’s about taking control of my future and preserving my options,” Emma wrote in a video posted to her Instagram on Sunday (August 27). “I’m very grateful that this process is available for people, whatever the individual reason may be.” Emma also explained that the decision “does take a lot of thought, courage and consideration but ultimately this is giving me peace of mind.” In a follow-up video, Emma thanked the staff at OVA Health in Chicago where she has been undergoing preparation for the procedure. “My procedure is tomorrow and I am not nervous because of the incredible staff here at OVA who have been nothing but kind, thoughtful and supportive, from day one everything was explained to me and they made sure I understood all the steps,” she wrote in the post’s caption. Emma married Sasha in March 2018, and the news of their split broke in August 2022.
