Drew Barrymore‘s talk show is returning, and despite her statement explaining the decision, she’s being called out.
The 48-year-old The Drew Barrymore Show issued a statement over the weekend, explaining: “I own this choice. We are in compliance with not discussing or promoting film and television that is struck of any kind.
We launched live in a global pandemic. Our show was built for sensitive times and has only functioned through what the real world is going through in real time.” Soon after, the Writers Guild of America issued a response to the news, seemingly clarifying that the show goes against the strike rules.
