The Drew Barrymore Show producer CBS Media Ventures has released a statement in response to the backlash that both the show and the host Drew Barrymore have been receiving this week.
Fans have not been pleased with Drew‘s decision to resume production on the daytime talk show amid the writers strike.
The SAG-AFTRA strike is not a factor in the decision as the show is covered by the special “Network Code,” which allows Drew to serve as the host.
But, the show must proceed without any writers until the WGA strike is over. Drew just released a tearful apology video in which she addresses the backlash and owns up to the decision.
