A former painter and decorator who had his own business 'took shifts' manning a drugs phone line, a court heard. Dad-of-four Lee Tomkins has now been jailed after becoming involved in the 'misery' of drug-dealing when his life took a wrong turn, Hull Live reports.
After losing his flat, he was offered a roof over his head in exchange for helping to sell heroin and crack cocaine on the streets.
Tomkins, from Hull, was found with £495 cash, two fake Rolex watches and a machete in the house where he was living. The 39-year-old admitted being concerned in supplying heroin and crack cocaine, as well as possessing the cash and watches as criminal property, and possessing cannabis, on August 10. Tomkins was in the kitchen and a phone was seized, showing drug dealing messages. Cocaine was found in a plastic tub on a bed in the living room.
