dailyrecord.co.ukCumbernauld Colts boss David Proctor hopes to add some fresh faces to his squad this week for next season's Lowland League push.The Broadwood side finished fourth in the fifth tier during the 2023/24 campaign and are determined to do even better this term.
Proctor hopes to get down to business in the coming days as Colts prepare to return for pre-season training on June 17.He said: "I have been speaking to a few players and I am hoping to get some things tied up over the next week or so.
That is part of the evolution of the squad. You are never ever settled and you need to keep pushing to find those that can compliment the current crop."To get to two semi-finals in the cups and fourth position in the league was a success for the club so we just need to see if we can match that and set the barrier even higher."Meanwhile the club has announced midfielder Craig Holmes has left the club.
Proctor added: "Craig found it difficult to get back in the team this season. He has had a couple of injuries over the last couple of seasons so we just thought it was in the best interests of both parties that there was a fresh challenge."Sometimes that is needed.
