Costa Coffee has updated its loyalty scheme - and many customers have been left unhappy by the change. Customers who use the free Costa app receive on 'bean' for every drink they purchase or two beans when they use a reusable cup.
Previously, you could get a free drink with eight beans but the rules have changed as of today (August 1). Now, customers need ten beans in order to get a free drink.
This results in customers needing to purchase two extra drinks than they previously did - or one extra with a reusable cup. Despite the change, any beans or rewards previously collected will remain in your account until used, the MIrror reports. An email sent out to customers back in June describes the new feature as follows: “Every single month we’ll be dropping a little surprise, just for you.
