Coronation Street spoilers as Paul Foreman's emotional last day of freedom pays heartbreaking tribute

Coronation Street has released a first look trailer as Paul Foreman enjoys his last day of freedom with his husband Billy Mayhew.

It was previously confirmed that a special episode next week will be dedicated to the couple. As viewers of the ITV soap know, Paul's health has been deteriorating since his Motor Neurone Diagnosis last year.

The former builder was told of the life-shortening disease, in which messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles, in April 2023.

Tragically, there is currently no cure meaning Paul has declined in front of his family's eyes as the months have gone on. In upcoming scenes, Paul wakes to discover his speech has drastically deteriorated but is determined to enjoy his last day of freedom out of the flat after being told he can no longer use the stair lift.
