Coronation Street has confirmed the immediate aftermath of Paul Foreman's death will result in conflict for some of his loved ones.
Viewers of the ITV soap were left in tears as the much-loved character died, 17 months after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
Paul, played by Peter Ash, was told he had the life-limiting illness that affects more than 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time and for which there is currently no cure in April 2023.
Paul, who was first introduced to viewers as David Platt's cellmate in 2018 before later making his way to Weatherfield to look for his twin Gemma Winter the following year, was told had had the life-shortening disease, in which messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles, shortly after being knocked over by Carla Connor in an Underworld van.
