Scotland fans in Cologne have been told the official fan zone in the city has been CLOSED with the city lashed by storm weather. The news came as thousands of the Tartan Army travelled to the western Germany city ahead of Steve Clarke's sides's second Euro 2024 Group A game against Switzerland following the opener against the hosts Germany in Munich.Fans had been told there were two fan zones in the city in the Heumarket and Tanzbrunnen areas of Cologne but they have been forced to close their doors due to severe weather warnings.

Scotland supporters had complained of chaotic organisation at the Munich fan zone ahead of the first match against Germany. Many told of having to wait for up to three hours to get served at the bar and broken toilets.Ahead of the trip, Graeme Shinnie, an administrator for the Tartan Army Facebook group, said: "As long as the rain holds off, I think everyone will have a good time in Cologne.

It’s an excellent city and is geared up for being a party town during their carnival, so the pubs are well-versed to handling big crowds.

I don’t think the Tartan Army will have any problem finding somewhere to have a wee drink.”And fans will now have to make the most of the city's bars and they are forced to take cover from the inclement weather.
